Oath-taking for minors

Information on retaining Singapore Citizenship for minors who obtained Singapore Citizenship by descent or registration.

Minors who obtained Singapore citizenship by descent or registration must take the Oath of Renunciation, Allegiance and Loyalty (ORAL) after turning 21 and before their 22nd birthday to retain their Singapore citizenship.

You may wish to visit ICA’s website for information and make an appointment with the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei to do so. There is no processing fee for the ORAL.
